4th & 5th Grade Math:
The focus in Math class will be to reinforce competency in the four basic operations. We will use hands-on activities, games, and computer programs to help us master skills within the classroom. We will follow The National Common Core Standards and strengthen the following mathematical practices: make sense of problems and persevere in solving them, reason abstractly and quantitatively, construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others, model with mathematics, use appropriate tools strategically, attend to precision, look for and make use of a structure, and look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.
